I came here late at night after a concert and sat inside since there was a long wait for outside. The food was so so good! We had the corn dogs, dumplings, popcorn chicken and a couple of Soju bottles. The yogurt soju was our favorite and all the food was very good.

Super happening pocha in Ktown located next to About Time coffee. On non-weekends, parking is free but it costs $5 to valet on Friday/Saturday nights. They have an ambient indoor and vibrant outdoor seating option, which are great except when it's a blistering 90° at night. The outside has tons of seating and very pretty colored lights hanging. Happy Hour has very reasonable drink pricing but other than that each soju bottle costs about $18 (and each table is required to purchase a minimum of one drink). The food is actually quite cheap relative to other places in Koreatown, and we tried the mandu, chicken gizzard, and steamed egg. I think the chicken gizzard comes with a delicious and refreshing salad but doesn't come with that much gizzard, but still decent! Line gets SUPER long if you come after 10 pm, so highly recommend coming by 9:45 so you don't have to wait an hour for a table.

I stopped in for a beer and a snack after a movie. Among my many trivial pursuits is tracking what's left of Jonathan Gold's 60 Korean Dishes Every Angeleno Should Know. Notwithstanding the fact that I'm not even an Angeleno, I'm burdened by FOMO to embark on this list. The dish to get at DGM is the kimchi pancake. Such is ideal for a late nite bite. They even start you off with complimentary popcorn. As I had just been to see a movie, the popcorn acted, Renaissance wise, as an act of unione. The charming schematics of the floor plan make DGM ideal for bringing out of town friends and family. You have the chance to be Henry Hill in Goodfellas, or Vince Vaughn in Swingers: guiding your guests from parking lot, through courtyard, into a backdoor, pass the kitchen and arrive in a dark pocha made up of industrial materials and drunken voices. The building's exterior is somewhat in contrast to the interior. The exterior is of ecumenical design popular from the 1920s-30s. The Julia Morgan style of Italian Renaissance cum Spanish Mission cum Moorish Revival. The style that seemed to be en vogue during the 90s. Brenda and Brandon Walsh lived in one of these homes in Beverly Hills 90210. From the exterior of DGM, you expect to go inside and find River Pheonix and Mark Lanegan discussing Bukowski. About this kimchi pancake: hot off the griddle, it's the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. I affirm that this revelation occurred while sober. Only half of one beer had been drunken when I took my first bite. Hot, the bottom crisped and darkened, blackened in a few spot; the top crisped and browned; the spice and funk of kimchi in the middle; some onions as aromatic; the whole thing oil filled, which, due to its heat, the molecules of the oil dart around like piranhas, enriching every bite without being heavy. Do not let it get cold on you, that oil will leave the pancake a stodgy blah. A paste, neither gochujang nor doenjang, but delicious, is served alongside.

I went to try it tonight in a large group at 7pm. I liked that it was not crowded. Do give yourself time to find parking, although there is valet for $5 at a certain hour. I tried various items like the kimchi pancake, rice cakes, hand rolls, and the corn dog with cheese and sausage. This is a fun spot to try new items and not worry about breaking the budget. Be open to the vibes and comfort food.

food was absolutely amazing and came really quickly! overall ordered 7 dishes and 7 rice for my group of friends(steamed egg, tteokbokki, bossam, jjampong, jjajangmyeon, army stew, and tangsuyuk) and came out to be $31 or so. rly good deal! we also got drinks on top of that, peach and lemon soju were so yummy. the waitress was so nice and i can't stop saying how fast the service was. vibes were good too, i love the outdoor lighting and the pocha style inside as well, this is a great place to have a fun night out w friends to eat.

DGM offers a truly unique dining experience that transports you straight to Korea. From the moment you sit down and are handed a bowl of popcorn, you know you're in for a treat. The variety of food available is impressive, and the happy hour deals are fantastic. My friend and I sampled a range of dishes, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I was particularly pleased with the reasonable prices, even with the addition of a large bottle of soju. Another perk is the convenient parking available in the back for just $5, which is a great alternative to street parking. The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting, with plenty of lights creating a pleasant atmosphere. You can choose to sit inside or enjoy the outdoor seating. While the service was generally good, our server did forget to bring more water towards the end of our meal, likely due to the increasing crowd as the night went on. Overall, I can't wait to go back to DGM. It's a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Korean cuisine in a vibrant setting.
